Professor. Dr. Frank Fichert
Dr. Frank Fichert is Professor of Economics and Transport Economics at Worms University of Applied Sciences (UAS), Germany, and Vice-Dean of the Department for Tourism and Transport.
He has published a large number of peer reviewed papers on the transport sector and is co-author of the leading German textbook on air transport management as well as co-editor of the edited volume ‘Aviation and Climate Change’ (Routledge 2020). He is member of the Competence Centre Aviation Management at Worms UAS and program director of the Bachelor degree program ‘Aviation Management and Piloting’. He has participated in several applied research projects, including the EU H2020 projects COCTA and CADENZA, the German Aviation Benchmarking study, and the report on the market power of Amsterdam Airport, as well as projects commissioned by Federal and State Ministries in Germany. His research focuses on competition and regulation in the air transport industry and the environmental issues of aviation.
Professor. Dr. Jae-Woo Lee
Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. from Dept. of Aerospace Engineering, Virginia Tech. U.S. in 1991. He finished M.S. and B.S in Aerospace Engineering, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. Currently he is a Professor and Director, Konkuk Aerospace Design∙Airworthiness Research Institute, KADA, a Center of Excellence, Ministry of Education, Korea.
He served as the president of the Korean Society of Aeronautics and Space Sciences, KSAS, a major academic society in Aerospace in Korea, and served/serving as a vice president or president of several academic societies including the Innovative Defense Acquisition Society-Korea, IDEAS-K, KSAA, and KOSSE, KSCM. He is the corresponding author or co-author of over 600 publications including 13 patents and 74 top international journal papers. His research interests are Urban Air Mobility, Multidisciplinary Design and Optimization, MDO, Aerodynamic Design and Optimization, Aerospace Vehicle Design for Aircraft, Space Launcher, UAV/Drones, Digital Twin/Flight simulation and Artificial Intelligence Applications for Aerospace Vehicles. He received several honors and awards in his academic career. He has been serving as the Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, General Chair of International Conferences, the technical program chair, and the symposium chair for various international conferences including APISAT, ACSMO, KSAS, KSAA. He served as a Specialized Member at Defense Acquisition Committee, Ministry of National Defense, Korea and at Policy Planning Committee / Business Committee, DAPA, MND, Korea.
Mr. Anthony Lim
Anthony Lim started his working career in a frontline role in the automotive industry before switching over to the maritime sector after 20 years. Already a firm believer in the use of data analytics, he spend the next 12 years helping organise data licensing agreements for the Lloyd’s Register Fairplay maritime platform. Looking for a challenge post Covid, Anthony joined AviationWeek to bring his wealth of knowledge on the use of data to the aviation planning & MRO sector. Before finally discovering a role associated with flying rather than floating machines, Anthony spent the last two years of his career in the cybersecurity sector.
Ms. Inna Ratieve
With more than 20 years as airport strategic development advisor Inna has extensive experience in the airport commercial and marketing projects. As senior director Amsterdam Schiphol International Division Inna was in charge of complex M&A transactions leading teams of different experts (legal, financial, marketing and commerce) to successful project acquisitions. As VP Schiphol USA Inna and her team were in charge of restructuring JFK T4 organization post 9/11 including the concession agreement with PANYNJ. As commercial director of Schiphol biometric passenger processing Inna was in charge of commercial strategy and implementation of expanding Trusted traveler loyalty program to US and Asia. She heads the commercial service offering at NACO Netherlands Airport Consultants and is director of NACO academy – long term partner of Vietnam Aviation Academy. Together both Academies organized a variety of workshops and trainings for capacity building of the future generation of Vietnam civil aviation managers. NACO was involved in Vietnam at Van Don airport, Da Nang, Quang Tri and as a validator and reviews of the design package for LTIA.
Mr. Dinh Viet Thang
Mr. Dinh Viet Thang is currently the Director of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and brings with him almost 40 years of aviation sector experience. Having completed his undergraduate education at the Leningrad Civil Aviation Academy in Russia, specializing in Air Traffic Engineering, he then went on to pursue a Master’s degree in Economic Management at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. Before assuming the CAAV Director role, Mr Thang held the CEO and the Board of Directors roles at the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation. His esteemed career journey also includes several senior managerial and operational positions within the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam, including serving as the Deputy Director and the Head of the Department of Planning and Investment. Mr. Thang’s profound expertise and comprehension of the aviation industry position him as one of the leading sectorial experts in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Édouard Marcus
Edouard Marcus is ADP International’s deputy CEO. He is especially in charge of coordinating Groupe ADP’s airport operations services. In parallel, he is the general secretary of the global operations division of Groupe ADP. Before, he was Groupe ADP’s deputy CFO and led the strategy & finance department. He has joined Groupe ADP in 2020 after a career in various positions at French finance ministry. He has worked, especially, in the international field and on organisational transformation.
Associate Professor Seck TAN
Seck TAN is Associate Professor and Programme Leader for Air Transport Management at the Singapore Institute of Technology. Seck is an applied economist with broad research interests in policy analysis and policy recommendation towards sustainable development, and evidence-based public policy formulation in relation to energy and environmental issues. Prior academia, he had worked for airlines in Australia and New Zealand
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thang
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thang is the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Environment with the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV). Mr Thang has over 20 years of experience across the aviation sector. He completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology, majoring in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and then going on to complete a Master of Business Administration. Prior to his current position, Mr Thang held the senior roles of Chief of Staff at CAAV and General Manager of Technology Implementation at the Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation (VATM). He also holds many honours and orders of merit awarded by the Directors General of the Ministry of Transport, CAAV and other governmental organizations.
